Chromehounds Papercraft

I promised myself no more consoles for a while, I've got a Ps2 and a Gamecube, what more do I need right? That Xbox 360 isn't going to have any games I like, it's all sports and car racing and gangbangers. Not a Japanese game to be seen.

Then they go and start making games like Chromehounds and I think well I do like mechs and that whole giant robot thing. But how good could it be right? Well guess what it's freaking awesome! and to make it even better they have Papercraft on the japanese site! I'm sold... any game with giant mechs and official papercraft is something I need to play.

Enough rambling you can grab a papercraft Chromehound (or three) from the official website, click the green button in the bottom right corner. Me, well i'm of to EB Games to see what sort of deal I can get... That Dead Rising game looks promising too : )

Papercraft Search Engine

You may have noticed a new feature on Papercraft World, we now have our very own Papercraft Search Engine! Using a great tool called Swicki from the very clever folks at Eurekster, i'm hoping the Papercraft Swicki becomes the search tool of choice for Papercraft enthusiasts everywhere! So what makes it different from Google or Yahoo I hear you say? Well to put it in a nutshell a swicki is driven by it's users, if you find something that is the perfect result for what you were looking for you can promote that result so it moves higher in the search results. I think I have made it sound far more complicated than it actually is : ) Have a play and if you find it useful keep using it and help create a fantastic Papercraft Search Engine!

You can check it out here or just use the search box on the right of this page.

Jules Verne Papercraft Bust

Well it's one of the stranger papercrafts i've seen in my internet travels, but it's still super funky fresh in the way that only Jules Verne can be, author of 20,000 leagues under the sea, Journey to the center of the earth and a bunch of other wonderful books that should be part of every childhood.

I've made one, it's on my desk and really it's looking good. Verdict: Jules Verne: Smooth Criminal.

Tron Papercraft

Tron was released in 1982 and to be honest itreally blew my young mind, already a video game addict, the last thing I needed was a movie starring Jeff Bridges, a variety of at the time amazing "computer graphics" and a really cool "Light Cycle"

From the Wikipedia:

"In the year it was released," says director Lisberger, "the Motion Picture Academy refused to nominate Tron for special effects because they said we 'cheated' when we used computers which, in the light of what happened, is just mind-boggling."

oh.... ok?

You can grab a papercraft Tron Light Cycle here

Paper Record Player

Sadly no downloads or instructions on this one, but it's neat papercraft so it's getting posted here! Simon Elvin's paper record player is all class, I think maybe I'll stick to my technics (a bit more robust) although if he got two of those and a paper dj mixer....
