Penny Arcade Papercraft

The Penny Arcade crew and the talented Cubeecraft have teamed up to create a fun little set of papercraft for Penny Arcade's game; On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness - Whew, quite a mouthful! One of my most highly anticipated video games of the year is being released soon - Banjo Kazooie - Nuts and Bolts, if you haven't been caught up in the hype for this game yet check the video below, it looks like a fantastic game for those of us who like to build things!

Pyramid Head Papercraft

The Silent Hill series of games is without doubt the scariest group of games I have ever played, while other games try they never really come close to creating that sense of horror that the team at Konami has created successfully game after game. First appearing in Silent Hill 2 Pyramid Head has to be the most well known (and feared) antagonist in the games...

SD Gundam Papercrafts

O.K. these babies aren't free. They are going to cost you 19 dollars or so each - paid through Paypal... But you have to admit even for 19 dollars it's still worth it right? That's a damn good looking Gundam paper model! One more bonus is that they come with an instruction manual - not many papercrafts at this level of complexity do that. If anyone does buy one let me know how it goes :)

Totoro Papercraft Plus!

My Neighbour Totoro is a film created by Hayao Miyazaki and the team of Studio Ghibli - the same people who created Princess Mononoke and the Academy Award winning Spirited Away anime. Created in 1988 it went on to win the Animage Anime Grand Prix prize. A very cool movie full of amazing characters and just like Princess Monoke and Spirited Away - it's a must see no matter how old you are.

Papercraft Girl in Bikini

I still find it kind of bizarre that models like this exist :) But they do. The internet is a very large place and there is room for all sorts of things to exist and in this case it's a great looking papercraft of a girl in a bikini, and if that's not safe for your work environment there is an optional top to put on her.

Washing Machine Transformer Papercraft

Jonah was kind enough to send through this great Transformer Washing Machine Papercraft (Yup it actually transforms). It certainly brought a smile to my face when I first saw it. This paper model embodies everything good about The Transformers - Robots that transform into everyday objects... and it's a Decepticon to boot ;) nice one Jonah!

Cubeecraft Papercraft

Some cute and well created paper models are available from Cubeecraft, apparently a new model every week! They all have interlocking tabs for easy construction, no need for glue, which is a nice change :) Excellent stuff, I'm going to keep my eyes on this one week by week to see what they release next.

This is an interesting project from Ars Electronica - taking objects from Second Life and recreating them as downloadable paper models, check the about page for a full breakdown. Wow, Valentines Day isn't far away! As a recently married man I need to be on my A game this year :) So over the next couple of weeks I'm going to do my best to find the best papercraft and paper related goodies that you can make that special person in your life this year.

C3PO paper model

Now you can be just like Anakin Skywalker and build your own C3PO model :) One of my favourite characters from the Star Wars universe, C3PO always seemed to be stressed about something and got dragged from one adventure to another with his various owners. Paper Models of Transformers

Although I really enjoyed the recent Transformers movie on the big screen, after watching it again on DVD I couldn't help feel somewhat disillusioned by Hollywood's treatment of an eighties classic, what if they had kept things simple like the good ol' days? Where's Soundwave! Where's Megatron turning into a freaking handgun? In desperation for nostalgia, I went in hunt of some Transformers papercrafts that represented the true school of Transformers and oh boy did I hit the motherload! You can check them out here, a truly impressive collection of Paper Transformers - Let's hope there is even more to come, I can only imagine the possibilities!
